It’s been many years since we’ve had the time to update our Digital Rhapsody website. A very long time…

Two reasons for this really:
1) We’ve been busy doing many other things.
2) There simply hasn’t been enough coffee to cope with the minefield of modernising our site… Until now.

However, at times like these, it does give us a rare and interesting opportunity to do something different. Most business sites are very corporate and boring – with cheesy slogans and loads of stock pictures. But if you’ve been around Digital Rhapsody for any time, you’d know we are a rather bohemian and eccentric bunch. We couldn’t just create something that doesn’t reflect us. So it’s time to do things differently.

Firstly, you may have noticed you are reading this blog on inside.digitalrhapsody.net. This is now the home where we will be blogging our thoughts, updates and interests from now on. Normally other companies try to keep their projects secret. However, we’ve learned that the power of community is wicked! We like hearing from our listeners, viewers and users about their suggestions to make things better. So not only does this area of the site have posts directly from “DigiRhap HQ”, but it’ll soon be syncing all the blogs from all the projects we have dotted around the web into one convenient space. All projects, productions, services (etc) will soon be posting here about new updates we are rolling out, or new features coming. We will also be starting to post about our production process. Pretty much anything we can talk about, we will be.

What is most exciting me is sharing with the community the technology we are using to create our projects. Most people seem to think you need vast budgets, however I am a huge fan of the open source community. So I am very much hoping we can use this space to be able to share tutorials and ideas about what we have done and how – for others to learn from (and hopefully run with).

Secondly, in our game, inspiration is key to anything successful. So we will soon be adding inspirational projects and ideas that we find interesting with you too. Think of it as a digital clipboard of ideas that we may or may not revisit later on for our own projects. Might be a cool video or design. But whatever it is, it’ll be something that you might enjoy too.

So as we move forward, make sure you are following Digital Rhapsody on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram to get notified when we have an exciting update to share.
